This cover is a good value, it is actually made of the same quality as what I used to buy at a local pool supply store for $36.00. It gives you an 8 yr warranty which may be good for southern states. But in the northeast, these covers will last one season with the amount of snow and ice accumulating on the cover. The cover will separate due to the weight of snow and ice. Nevertheless, I take it off, roll it up and put it to the curb. No cleaning or disinfecting it, just toss it.

We have a 15 ft abouve ground pool and the cover that came with it is a nice rubbery type but is a tad too small to completely go over the edges despite retying it different ways so I bought this oversized one for a 18ft pool that was sold as used. It really was not used but it was a factory 2nd due to a slight opening in the top which I easily covered with duck tape. This cover was very inexpensive due to the flaw but it didn'[t come with a cord for tying so I bought one with plenty of length. I also had a problem with our pool cover getting blown off some and filling wtih rain causing it to sink in somewhat so I ran nylon cords crisscross all across the pool to help hold the covers up when they had to deal with wind and rain. and although this cover well covered the top of the pool we had to take the cover that came with the pool off and put it away because it was still falling in. We are ready to take the cover off now for the season but next Dec when we cover it we will secure the grommets better farther down the support beams so it won't blow up or tend to sink in. THis cover is strong and I would recommend it to others. It is like a blue tarp style material and is tuff and I am glad I bought it.Read full review

Most winter covers I have bought in the past give significant overlap (i.e. extra material) to allow the cover to hang down about 6-12" (if not more) past the pool edge. This cover barely fit onto the pool with maybe 2-3" of overlap. I now see why this was the cheapest cover online. I guess you get what you pay for! BTW I used it without an air pillow. I could only imagine the lack of overlap I would have (if any!) had the cover need to be raised several inches higher to accommodate the air pillow.

Decent product for price. I should have ordered at least 1 size bigger. When you drop water down for winter not much left for overlap.. maybe 6 inches. Just enough to get cable around top.

So I bought this pool cover because our first (different brand) didn't last a season. I installed this with the cable and also 12-16 cinder blocks tied to string because we are a high wind area. Our pool was half drained. This cover held out all winter very good. At some point in the winter the pool side split and obviously destroyed the pool. Coleman is junk. Our pool only lasted 2 seasons. But this cover still stayed on despite the pool splitting open. I don't know if it would last 8 years or even 4 but it was better then the other Chinese one we had for a similar price the year before.
