This trimmer attachment fits my Huskvarna 128LD from Lowe's, perfectly. I also, no longer have to worry about cutting my extension cord in half. This trimmer works great at squaring up hedges, but is a little tricky when it comes to rounding and sculpting. Of course, this may have something to do with it being mounted on the end of my weed trimmer. Overall, I give a good recommendation for this attachment.

First, this may not be a "Ryobi" branded product. I ordered one identical to this, and the packaging was "MTD." Not that it matters much, but you need to understand the specs of the correct device. I did use this with a Ryobi handle, and my major complaint is that it is quite heavy. Using it for more than half and hour at a time was very tiring. Also, that means that if you are working at the "edge" of the reach (I used it to trim flowering crab trees while on the ground) it can be hard to keep it from falling downward. Admittedly, I had one hand on and one hand under the handle, so limited control, but that gave me the best reach, which saved a lot of time on a ladder. One other aspect of this is that the cutting capacity is just 7/16", which is at the low end. Most are 1/2", and Ryobi sells one that is 3/4". I didn't notice that before I purchased. That affected relatively few branches on the work that I was doing, and it was easy enough to clean them up with a pole pruner (which this attachment mostly replaced). Still, as I said at the outset, make sure you know the specs of the device that you buy. The construction appears to be very solid, and the mechanism for adjusting the angle of the trimmer blades is both simple and elegant. Very easy to use, so much so that I chose to move back and forth between straight and angled cutting at will. This device does its job, and it does it well. I prefer to view the heft issue as a way to build upper body strength, though it does limit the amount of time I can use this in any one session (I am on a break right now before heading back out to do more). If you understand what you are buying, you should not be disappointed in even the slightest way.Read full review

This is a good buy at less than half of store price. Works well as trimmer under cars and trailers where mower won't reach also.

This tool allows me to be able to safely trim shrubs without having to get up on a ladder which is a very good thing.

Works just like it should, with one exception. The pin that allows for the adjustment of the blade angle broke the second time I tried to use it. It can still be adjusted by pushing the pin up from the back side. Other than that it works just as expected. Some concern if that simple part broke so easily how durable it will be in the long run. I guess I'll find out.
