Have only used this once to cut up a six inch branch that came crashing down in the yard. Bought this for exactly that kind of situation. My loppers do fine cutting up the smaller branches but when I get to the thick stuff, it just isn't worth firing up my large gas powered chainsaw for a six inch branch and is too time consuming and tiring to mess with a bow saw by hand. This did the trick just fine and I was done in about ten minutes cutting up the thick branches as well as some other larger pieces I had lying around. Went through a really hardwood locust tree like cutting butter. Some folks have said these tend to leak oil. I'll have to keep my eye out for that, but I just filled the bar chain reservoir with enough oil for the job at hand so there wasn't much left in the saw when I was done. Saw was easy to assemble and chain is easy to put on and adjust. I'm a fan and have several other WORX products. Haven't come across one that is not a winner yet. BTW, only used about one third of the battery charge for my 10 minutes of cutting, so I was very satisfied. Read full review

This is a lightweight chainsaw and isn't designed to cut anything to big. It works just fine for smaller things. Would be great for pruning limbs too large to cut by hand. It would be great to cut small sapplings as well.

I’m an old guy and have used gas powered chain saw for many years. So, I was less than certain a “batter powered” chain saw would do much of anything. I purchased the Worx saw to cut some trees of about 2 - 3 in. In diameter. I buzzed through 8 of them with no problems whatsoever. I’m very happy and surprised. Did it all with the same battery charge. WOW!

This saw works much better than I expected, bought it for my wife because it is light enough for her to use and she has used it a lot. I have used it myself on some small trees and it worked great. The only negative thing I have found is that it leaks a little chain oil but that is true of every review of all the other saws I looked at. We just store and transport the saw in a plastic bag to avoid an oily mess.

For the home owner, this is a great addition to your tool crib. Have owned gas powered saws for 40 years, and they definitely have their place, but for the home owner, you will not go wrong with this saw. Bought this WG322 for the portability, because my previous purchase was corded. I also purchased the extension pole for it, which I would also recommend. For most trimming around your home, the extension will keep you off a ladder. I did find one thing to remember, this saw (especially with the extension pole) needs good batteries. I have some older batteries that "will work" with my blower and trimmer (with reduced power) but this saw needs the "fresh battery" that came with the saw. It also showed me just what the older equipment I have, can do with a new battery. Obviously, I will be upgrading my battery bank, but all in all, this was a great purchase.Read full review
